The boutique hotel is named after ‘Petit’ means small in French which in tune with the number of rooms, small for a total of a 12-spacious-suites. It is located in the main entrance of its sister properties’ complex – Kupu Kupu Barong Villas & Tree Spa by L’Occitane and Jungle Retreat Ubud Hotel, overlooking at a timeless landscape of Kedewatan Village and Balinese Temple. Petit Hotel delivers a spacious, elegant, and stylishly décor, family-oriented hotel for the guests. It is only 15-minutes’ drive away to Ubud Market and 25-minutes’ drive away to Monkey Forest, one of the most well-known tourist attractions in Ubud, Bali.

Behind The Name of Kupu Kupu Barong


Many have been asking about the origin name of Kupu Kupu Barong Villas and Tree Spa by L’Occitane. Well, Kupu Kupu Barong Villas & Tree Spa was named after groups of giant butterflies that beautifully fly around the resort. In Balinese language, Barong is also means Giant and Kupu Kupu is Indonesian language meaning Butterfly. Hence, the resort, Kupu Kupu Barong means Giant Butterfly.

Balinese Night at La View Restaurant


La View Restaurant by Kupu Kupu Barong & Spa by L’Occitane invites guests to join Balinese Night Buffet Dinner every Thursday, starting from 7 PM. Experience Rice Farming At Kupu Rice Farm

Ubud, Bali, has been well-known for its rice-fields and “close-to-nature” ambience. It is a tourist destination for yoga, trekking, hiking, and experience the local Balinese livelihood, and Ubud’s rice field has been mesmerizing tourist for decades.

Kupu Kupu Barong invite guests to embark on an adventure and experiencing the live of a farmer for one day, rice farming at Kupu Farm, instead of only gazing into the rice field. On the day of farming, guests are invited to wear sarong (traditional Balinese sarong) and get ready to transplanting the sprouts in the lush green rice.

At Kupu Kupu Barong’s Kupu Rice Farm, guest can enjoy various activities such as breakfast or lunch at the rice fields, picnic by the rice fields, and rice farming. Guests from Jungle Retreat and Petit Hotel may join these activities as well.
